ITINERARY CHIANG MAI-CHIANG RAI 5 DAYS 4 NIGHTS





Assalamualaikum..untuk entri ni,kami share itinerary 5 hari 4 malam kami di Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai.

Travel agent or DIY?

Kami ke sana menggunakan khidmat travel agent dari Chiang Mai...setelah beberapa tahun kami travel DIY jer.Kali ni,kira macam adhoc...dan kami kesuntukan masa untuk plan sendiri our trip.
Walaupun menggunakan khidmat agent,tour ni kami kira macam private jugalah...sebab hanya melibatkan kami 3 beranak,bukan the typical tour beramai-ramai..macam rombongan Cik Kiah tu.
Dan aturcara lawatan yang dicadangkan kami modify ikut citarasa kami.
Kat bawah ni..kami akan bagi verdict untuk setiap lawatan.
But,apa-apa pun ni adalah personal opinion kami sahaja.Lain orang lain citarasa...

Kalau ditakdirkan kami pergi lagi,inshaa Allah kami akan DIY..sebab senang jer.Cari hotel kat sekitar Halal Street,Hilal Town sebab senang dapat makanan halal dan bervariasi (makanan Thai,western,Indian food,Turkish dsb).Untuk day tour banyak jer travel agents/ hotel-hotel yang provide such service.Harga sangat reasonable.

Untuk transportation dalam city,boleh guna grab.Yang jauh-jauh tu,guna transportation provided by travel agents.Public transportation mungkin tak berapa convenient sebab most attractions di Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai ni kan terletak di kawasan pergunungan.

Timing

Sebenarnya,kalau nak melancong ke sini...bulan yang paling ideal ialah November to February,sebab masa ni musim sejuk.Tapi,December selalunya more crowded sebab masa tu cuti sekolah di Malaysia.
Februari-April-tak digalakkan sebab masa ni cuaca panas,kering dan biasanya ada air pollution
(pembakaran hutan-spontaneous atau by human).
April-Oktober;musim hujan..tapi,flight murah dan less crowd..hu hu

Kalau ada nak datang sini untuk specific acara,make sure the timing is correct.Contohya Yi Ping (lantern festival) di mana beratus-ratus tanglung dibebaskan ke udara pada mid-November (12th lunar month)...ataupun Songkran Festival (pesta air) pada mid -April.Flower festival pula biasanya pada minggu pertama bulan Februari.Kalau nak merasa tengok bunga sakura,biasanya January & Feb (tapi kami takde rezeki).
Kalau nak gi beach...forget Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai!!Ni kat gunung babe..

Jadi,ni lah iti kami..

DAY 1


Ho Kham Royal Pavillion, Royal Flora Rajapruek


~ Arrival at Chiang Mai Airport
~ Breakfast at local stall - Zam Zam Halal Roti & Curry Restaurant

~ Enjoying thousands of species of trees and flowers on 80 hectares of landscaped gardens at The Royal Flora Rajapruek

~ Lunch at Takawa Halal Cuisine,3.5 km from Chiang Mai International Airport
~ Check into Ratana Hotel
~ Pick up to Doi Pui to visit Hmong Tribal Village at the top of Doi Suthep
~ Come back to hotel and prepare to dinner

~ Dinner at Muslim Khantoke Restaurant - enjoying Northern Thai Cuisine accompanied by classical performance of music and dance.
Khantoke = round rattan tray used for serving-cum-dining table with 7 dishes on top of it
Ask for the halal option (certified by The Central Islamic Committee of Thailand)

~ Free and Easy at Night Bazaar

We think the Doi Pui trip can be skippable-takde apa sangat kat situ...melainkan kalau bunga sakura tengah blossom..mungkin worth the visit.

DAY 2


Mae Taeng Elephant Camp,Chiang Mai


~ Breakfast at hotel

~ Visit Mae Taeng Elephant Camp.(54 km from hotel)
- Ticket includes elephant show,Riding elephant & oxen cart & halal lunch buffet. Rafting(optional )
~ Get friendly with Karen Long Neck tribe where women wear brass rings around their necks,wrists and ankles-next to the camp
Solat Jama’ Zohor & Asar di surau Elephant Camp

~ Back to Chiang Mai city

~ Lawatan wajib (  Handicraft Center / Leather Shops / Jade / Silk /Paper Umbrella etc)- ni kalau DIY,tak payahlah singgah..

~ Dinner at Le Spice Indian Thai Restaurant
Free and Easy at Night Bazaar
Supper at Prikthai (local Thai cuisine)

*Alternatively,u may add Taman Negara Doi Ithanon dalam itinerary Day 1 & Day 2.Tapi kena tidur kat sana 1 malam.Doi Ithanon is a home to the highest mountain in Thailand with nature trails,stunning gardens & incredible waterfalls.

DAY 3


White Temple,Chiang Rai


~ Breakfast at hotel
~ Going to Chiang Rai (197 km from Chiang Mai)

~ Drop by Mae Kachan Hot Spring-where you can soak your feet in 1 of the 3 natural hotspring wells & boil eggs.

~ Visit White Temple

~ Lunch at Sereneen Restaurant. (Chiang Rai city)
   Solat Jama’ Zohor & Asar di surau restoren

~ Golden Triangle
- Travel through the Mae Khong River (Thai-Myanmar-Laos)
- Visit Laos’s side and shopping handicraft product there

We think the Golden Triangle trip can be skippable too..long & tiring journey,banyak buang masa & takde apa sangat kat situ.

~ Choui Fong Tea Farm for sunset- kena betul-betul timing kalau nak tengok sunset.Otherwise,rearrange the itinerary,so you can visit this farm in bright daylight-the view is said to be stunning.
~ Check in at Green View Place Hotel Halal,Mae Sai
~ Dinner at Green View Hotel
~ Rest

DAY 4


Tulips at Chiang Rai flower festival


~ Breakfast at hotel
~ Check out from hotel
  Mae Sai Indo-China Product beside Thai-Myanmar border - kami kensel sebab tak berminat.But it is an optional trip.Kaki shopping might not want to miss it
~ Visit Doi Tung- Switzerland of Thailand-highly recommended

~ Chiang Rai Flower Festival
~ Lunch at Ruammit 1 Restaurant
~ Stopover at Charin Garden Resort for coffee
~ Check into Ratana Hotel,Chiang Mai.
~ Dinner at Baragus Restaurant
~ Free and Easy at Chiang Mai Night Bazaar
~ Supper at Prikthai

DAY 5


Iron Bridge,Chiang Mai (walking distance from Ratana Hotel)


~ Breakfast at hotel
~ Check out from hotel
~ Warorot Market  ;if u can make it,try to go...it's one-of-a-kind experience
~ Lunch at Takawa Halal Cuisine
` Chiang Mai Airport
~ Check in at counter Airport
~ Flight to Malaysia
