Alhamdulillah,dengan izinNya - kami dah selamat kembali ke tanahair dari road trip di Switzerland selama 8 hari.
How it started..
Sebenarnya pada penghujung first week of November,anak bongsu kami bercuti akhir semester.Kami awalnya plan nak repeat Korea,memandangkan dia tak dapat join kakak2 ke Korea last February.Tapi,last minute anak no 3 tak dapat join trip kerana cuti yang pendek dan commitment to her final year assignment..
Jadi trip 4 beranak yang direncanakan dah jadi trip 3 beranak.Dan si bongsu ni tak nak gi Korea bersama Non-Kpopper parents..nanti tak enjoy!😆
Dipendekkan cerita,one fine day..on an impulse,I bought flight tickets to Switzerland..masa tengah browse and nampak harga ticket Emirates KL-Dubai-Zurich yang sangat reasonable.
Trip ke Switzerland ni memang tak pernah shortlisted as one of our holiday destinatinations.Bukannya tak minat,maybe kami belum ready to commit - so we never really talked seriously about any plan ke sana.But,one thing for sure,kami memang ada berharap dapat sampai Swiss sebelum pencen.Alhamdulillah,Allah made it easier for us.
How it turned out..
Lepas dah beli ticket & started doing some research..we found out that November bukanlah masa terbaik untuk melawat Swiss.In fact,ada yang kata the worst month!November is the shoulder month iaitu peralihan dari musim autumn ke winter.So,as they say
1.Autumn is ending.You would never get beautiful full foliage of autumn.

3.November weather is unpredictable,rains most of the time,gloomy & depressing..
4.Most mountain excursions in Switzerland are closed - untuk prepare for winter activities.Mount Titlis gondolas,Grindelwald First,Kandersteg mountain coster,Oeschinensee Lake & Chillon Castle are ALL CLOSED!
So,nak buat apa kalau macam ni??
Actually,masih ada few places yang beroperasi ketika kunjungan kami ke Switzerland.Bak kata orang,tempat-tempat yang WAJIB pegi..antaranya

Blessing in disguise
Mungkin Allah dah aturkan - our Swiss travel way..cara yang sederhana,but enjoyable for us.
Travelling during off season sebenarnya banyak kelebihan jugak - cheaper (airfares,accomodation and activities fee),crowds are less,no queues or waiting...and generally weather is milder,nyaman je.
So,we decided on doing road trip.
Memandangkan banyak mountain excursions tutup pada bulan November...agak tak berbaloi nak naik train.......so,we opted for driving.
If you drive in Switzerland,your eyes will be blessed with breathtaking scenary of alpine views,mountain passes and lakeside drives..

Bila ada kereta,kita boleh pilih accomodation yang jauh sikit dari city - so lebih affordable..and sometimes very special.

Masa lebih flexible,dan schedule can be adjustable according to our preferrance.Dan kadangkala akan muncul new destinations yang tak ada dalam itinerary asal...contohnya

Walaupon Switzerland terkenal dengan scenary alam semulajadi yang memukau - don't limit yourself to outdoor activities only.Boleh cuba some indoor activities like..

Be creative & have fun..
Kami naik cabble car halfway (from Stechelbergh to Murrén).Then,hiked down to Gimmelwald.Dari Gimmelwald naik cable car & turun semula ke Stechelbergh.
