QUEENSTOWN TO MILFORD SOUND
Assalamualaikum WBT....dan Alhamdulillah.....
Is a weekend....and I will continue from where we left........Lepas makan dan sempat shopping souvenirs sikit (bukannya ada duit sangat...)..kami pun bergerak perlahan lahan ke Te Anau...ada dalam 170km to go....we started around 14.20pm....dan mesti isi minyak di Te Anau...sebab takda lagi Petrol Station antara Te Anau dan Milford.....
Mirror Lake
There...Mirror LAke |
The tunnel is just one of the many amazing features on the Milford Road (part of State Highway 94), one of the world's finest drives, which takes visitors from Te Anau to Milford Sound.
Cutting under the Main Divide at the Homer Saddle, the tunnel stretches for 1270 metres through solid granite. Construction commenced in 1935, and after a long and extremely difficult period, the Homer Tunnel eventually opened in 1954. When first opened, the tunnel's road surface was single lane and entirely gravel, making it, at that time, the world's longest gravel lined tunnel.

Gambar ni diambil dari wikipedia,,,,But the real picture is to follow....
Bila kami sampai...nampak tak signboard tu tulis...signal off from 8pm till 6am..Stop here to activate light. |
Suddenly adalah satu sedan dari depan muncul and I stopped them...An Indian tourist with family...I asked him how he activated the light...He said...nothing you could do after 8pm...So he advised me to drive very slowly and carefully...unless it is a bus there is still chance that you can negotiate another smaller vehicle.
Dengan berbekalkan doa kami pun bergeraklah dengan perlahan sambil berdoa....
Video ni memang kelakar sikitlah bila dengar balik...tapi the thrill will last forever... |
So next time kalau you all pergi ke Milford...jangan sampai lewat dari pukul 8 malam....hehehe
Photo untuk kenangan.... |
So sebab sejuk sangat...takda banyak pun aktiviti sebelah malam...lepas dinner..kami pun beradu.....Jumpa lagi esok....
