Staycation at RC Cape Nautica Villa,Port Dickson

Assalamualaikum

Cuti sekolah baru-baru ni,kami ke Port Dickson ...or Pokdeksen, kato orang nogori.Walaupun Pantai Klebang cuma sepelaung dari rumah (3 mins drive),saje cari pantai yang jauh (tak jauh mana pun sebenarnya..).We personally feel that Klebang Beach had becoming more touristy now...too crowded with people,..extremely hot as there is less shady trees nowadays...too many stalls which in turn produce post pasar malam scene if you come in the morning (banyak nau sampah, bak kata orang Melakee).

Bismillah...subhanallazi...
Happy nak bercuti..
So...off we went to PD which is only 60 km (1 hour plus drive) from home.Singgah dulu breakfast Nasi Lemak Esso Corner di Tanjung Kling.A must JJCM spot if you come to Melaka.Walau pun stesen Esso dah digantikan dengan Stesen Petron, namanya kekal as Nasi Lemak Esso Corner ye?Kami ni pelanggan tetap kat sini.hi hi.

Kejap je dah sampai PD..Oleh kerana masih kenyang, takkan lah nak picnik pula.Apa kata singgah ke Hutan Rekreasi Tanjung Tuan dulu.Konon-konon trekking untuk bakar kalori.Oleh kerana ni itinerary edisi terjah...maka kami memang tak prepare ourselves with proper attires and descent sport shoes..

Hutan Rekreasi Tanjung Tuan ni terletak di Port Dickson ,Negeri Sembilan.Tapi ia sebenarnya bawah pemerintahan Kerajaan Negeri Melaka.Situated just at the edge of PNB Ilham Resort.

Bayar dulu entrance fee of  RM1 (murah wei) for adults.Kanak-kanak bawah 12 tahun FOC.

Wakaf untuk melepaskan penat (belum separuh pendakian...)

Hutan Rekreasi Tanjung Tuan ni quite famous spot untuk team building warga kerja badan-badan kerajaan dan private companies.Selalunya, mereka akan menginap kat PNB Ilham Resort lah.

Trekking ni sebenarnya tak susah mana pun...especially for the newbie hikers.800 meter je...jalan pun berturap.Mula-mula jalan condong ke atas...pas tu mendatar.Terjumpa perempuan hiking with a dress and heels..steady je..

Sampai ke puncak, terus nampak Cape Rachado Lighthouse (a.k.a Rumah Api Tanjung Tuan ) yang famous tu (oldest light house in Malaysia)

(Credit to Wikipedia)

Oleh kerana menara ni betul-betul mengadap Selat Melaka,it is indeed a perfect spot for selfie and sunset watch

Selesai trekking..
Selesai trekking di hutan rekreasi, kami menuju ke Blue Lagoon Beach...atau nama lain,Pantai Tanjung Biru,400 meter ...less than 5 mins drive.Sekarang masa untuk picnic.Lama sangat dah tak berpiknik.

Kawasan lapang dan redup..
Pantai Blue Lagoon ni,agak private kalau nak dibandingkan dengan Pantai Telok Kemang ..which is more crowded and merrier! Wallahu alam...

Si bujang & FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
FOMO again...
Old skool ice-cream is a MUST kat pantai..

RC CAPE NAUTICA VILLA

Actually, checking in time is at 3 pm,tapi call Mr Vijay, the hotel manager...boleh check in awal at 2.30 pm.Very flexible and accomodating..thank you!

Frankly speaking,we never heard of this hotel before...although it  scores 8/10 from 268 reviews!Poor us...Semasa blog walking...mencari-cari hotel di PD,jumpa less than 5 blogs yang bercerita pasal hotel ni.

First impression? The apartment looked old and deserted. The car park and apartment looked so empty. But,please don't get deceived.DO NOT judge the book from its cover..Check out the interior...we were speachless and impressed!
Our 3 bedroom apartment is very spacious. The floor is spotlessly clean!
There is a flat screen TV (Astro Njoi) &  DVD player...

Fridge + Microwave + Induction cooker + cooking utensils
Kat dapur, siap ada 4 baskets untuk recycled items (paper/glass/metals/plastic).Congrats for the effort.Cuma ,kalau boleh...perlu ditambah 1 basket untuk domestic waste...preferably with a lid?

By the way...hotel ni takde lobby atau reception counter.Kelakar betul...check in cuma kat kerusi dan meja di ground floor block A.Sempoi betul lah!

Hotel ni betul-betul strategic.Cuma 3 mins drive keluar ke main road.Dekat dengan shoplots di kawasan PD Sunggala.Ada kedai-kedai makan, groceries and sundries shops...pusat karaoke keluarga..kedai dobi..bakery.Oh ya..Family Store pun ada.

For beach lovers...there is no nearby beach to walk to.But Telok Kemang is only 5 mins drive from this hotel.

Speciality nya dah tentu lah char kue tiaw.Kami juga order chicken chop (as usual Malaysianised version with black pepper sauce banjir),nasi goreng cili padi (podeh and sodap) dan nasi goreng udang (pun best)!

Esoknya...kami check out pada jam 11 pagi.Kaum Adam perlu solat Jumaat..Sempat singgah di Nasi Arab Al Waleed atau pun more known by locals as D' Sawit Corner sebab tempat makan ni dalam kelapa sawit.Kedai ni tepi jalan di Masjid Tanah...susah nak miss sebab akan nampak banyak kereta parking.Another JJCM yang wajib kalau datang Melaka.

48 hours of Borneo...Here what I Got.

Alhamdulillah ...at last  I managed to join a  small group of  photographers to the " Land Below The Wind"........ It was a short journey, indeed 48hours full of actions and dramas. Thanks to my friend FJ(the organiser and mentor) who offerred the very best opportunity to explore Kudat . Though I have been to Sabah a few times before, this is the first time I reached Kudat.

It was a very new experience to me. I learnt a lot about Landscape Photography...Not only about my camera but also life as a Travelling Landscape Hunter, I shot my 1st Milky way here with Canon Eos700D...which is a new milestone to my photography career...

Everything was great except we did not get the very best of Sabah sunset or sunrise...may be next time......Insya Allah

Here are some of  of the very Best of Sabah ...captured using Canon Eos 700d with Sigma 10-20mm
and Fujix30...I hope it gives some light to others who own small camera but wish to shoot Landscape..
Nearby Kota Belud...A Paddy field with the background of Mount Kinabalu..On the way to Kudat we stopped for a while..for handheld photography...Fujix30

Simpang Mengayau Beach at the Tip of Borneo. We get up early for sunrise. We walked about 50-70 metres into the water still at the knee height..

Beautiful Place with my colleagues enjoying the moment. "Simpang Mengayau

A Glimpse of Waterfront Kuching

During my recent visit to Kuching, 5-9th May 2016

At this age...I have the opportunity to visit Kuching for the very 1st time of my life...Yes a very 1st time...Is not funny...hehehe...Thanks to Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Melaka for giving  me this opportunity to represent Malacca State Health Tennis and Golf team for the Bineally  KKM tourney...
I didnt win anything....we stayed at UITM Samarahan ~22km from Kuching...But sports have been my blood ...I was determined to earn at least Bronze medal this time but it was not to be...My 1st game against Putrajaya single veteran lasted more than 2 and half hours.under the hot 45 degree temp...and I was leading 6-3 and 4-3 with a chance to break my opponent serve at 15-30....then ...the unexpected cramp strucked me....then the rest was history.....walk over for my opponent and he clinched Bonze later......
Golf was more leisure....the next day....played well in patches....the team finished 4th overall.

I didnt have much time to explore Kuching except the waterfront...One... because of a tight schedule...and the other things is "transport"...May be Next time I will visit again with full of itenaries on landscape photograpy....

Lets enjoy some of my collections from FujiX30...No filters...No Tripods...
