Perjalanan dari Cromwell ke Kawarau ni challenging sikit...Dengan jalan yang berliku liku ...kecil dan lalu tepi gaung....Tapi viewnya Masya Allah cantik....jaraknya 37km sahaja.......Tapi jangan lalai sebab silap sikit je boleh membawa padah....

The Last 2 memang perjalanan yang mencabar ........

Sedikit info about Power Site ni....kebanyakkan mereka charge antara NZD15-NZD25 per adult...Kanak kanak 50%....Kelebihannya boleh dapat sambung ke 240V power supply untuk charge electrical items..12V battery Campervan...camera and laptops...Boleh gunakan microvave dan electric heater....Selain dari itu banyak kemudahan disediakan..seperti laundry...toilet...kitchen dan internet.

Free campsite biasanya ada basic toilets dan occasionally open kitchen...Tapi banyak Free Campsite yang di manage oleh DOC (Department of Conservative ) New Zealand...kemudahannya baik dan ofcourse lebih Natural dan Hebat Backgroundnya....Boleh check kat website Rankers NZ....

KAWARAU GORGE--ZIP RIDER-

Dari Cromwell,kami setkan GPS ke Kawarau Bridge untuk menyaksikan aktiviti Bungy Jumping di sana.Memang tak de cita-cita pun nak terjun..Cuma nak jadi pemerhati.Tak sah rasanya kalau datang ke South Island,NZ dan tak visit tempat yang paling happening ni...

Selepas 30 minit perjalanan,kami berhenti di Kawarau Gorge Mining Centre.Wah..kagum jap tengok Kawarau River yang deras..paling special,warna airnya yang hijau susu..macam green guava..

Angin kat sini kuat sangat....

Akhirnya,kami tiba di A.J Hackett Bungy..
Bungy or Bungee? Dua-dua betul...
Nama tempat ni sinonim dengan seorang Kiwi,iaitu AJ Hackett yang mula-mula memperkenalkan bungy jumping di New Zealand ni,dalam 1980-an.

Sebelum tu,AJ dan kawan-kawan dia yang sama-sama gila try buat extreme jump dari ski gondola (91 m atas salji) kat Tignes,France.Pas tu,terjun plak dari Paris Eiffel Tower pada 1987.Kena tangkap..pas tu dibebaskan after 5 mins.
On November,1988.the World's first Commercial Bungy Operation opened at the Kawarau Bridge..Serba sedikit sejarah bungy jumping!
Kalau nak dibandingkan dengan satu lagi tempat Bungy jumping kat Queenstown Skyline....sini memang hebat lagi....terutama ketingggian dan aura sekeliling.....

Anyway bila kami sampai....ada 1st jumper nak buat penerjunan....bila diamati....melayu rupanya bertudung.....dia terjun together dengan expert......Ok terjunan nya......Malaysia Boleh.....

Our girl..& our nephew tetiba mintak nak terjun sama..Aiks!Garu kepala jap..ni memang tak de dalam bajet nak oii..Sekali terjun ..untuk adult $195..kanak-kanak $145 sekepala (darab 3 dah berapa hinggit tuh?).Aduyai..sekali badan korang melayang terjun ....melayang duit mama abah gaks..Ni tak masuk dengan hidden fee video and photo yang dia capture...Minimum age 10 years old

Fatin pilih nak ride solo...as usual....and Naurah will partner with her brother .....Zip rides ni ada 2 peringkat...about 130metres to the target...The 1st round memang laju giller...sampai nak capture video pun tak sempat...luckily Yasmin dah capture from the other side....Bila dah sampai hujung....rider akan langgar penghadang dan memantul secara elastik..,,,Riders akan berpusing balik dengan speed reduced to half berbanding masa mereka take off tadi...
Very nice experience and lebih berbaloi.....

I believe I can fly..

Selepas selesai..anak-anak kegirangan..ibubapa kelegaan..kami bergegas meneruskan perjalanan...Jauh lagi ni....Jam dah pukul 3.30pm....Next destination Glenorchy...Kalau dari sini ada cecah 70km.....Kita akan isi minyak dulu area Qeenstown dan shopping untuk top up stock sebelum meneruskan perjalanan...I dah risau sikit sebab rasa masa dah melangkau lebih disebabkan adhoc itinerary yang muncul secara tiba tiba....Tapi Glenorchy mesti kena pergi walau apa pun situasinya...memandangkan dah lah terlepas Mount Sunday......LOTR...

Skippers CanyonArwen's (Liv Twyler's) confrontation with the Black Riders at the Ford of Bruinen was filmed in Skippers Canyon, near Arrowtown.
